Neat & Tangled meets Project Life

Hi everyone! It's Pamela here for the last day of September 2013. You may have seen my Project Life spreads during release week. I have another Project Life page spread for you today that uses Just for You and A Lot to Say.

Here is the page spread that I did to document my birthday back in August.  I used the speech balloon from A Lot to Say for some of my journaling with others being on a piece of vellum stitched in place.

Week 34 - Page 2

I stamped the solid balloons onto the pattern paper and also added the outline balloon stamped on vellum. Then on the right side of the date, I stamped the "happy birthday" sentiment from the same set.

Week 34 - Page 2 - Close Up

I decorated the pattern paper a bit with the fun confetti stamps and stamped more balloons on another journaling card, this time, stitching the tail for balloon.

Week 34 - Page 2 - Close Up

Happy Halloween!

Hi sweet Neat & Tangled fans!  Amy K. here with a start to my Halloween cards this year!

I found some time to play with an older Neat & Tangled set called Halloween Scene.  I need several Halloween cards this year for the kiddos in my family......so, check one more to-do off my list!

I pulled out some vellum to stamp my ghosts on to and trimmed them out.  The "Happy Halloween" sentiment is one stamp so 'Happy'  was selectively inked onto one part of a die cut banner and then again with the word 'Halloween' on another part of a banner.

Happy Halloween

Hello Stud Muffin

Hello Neat and Tangled lovelies!

Katie Gehring here to share a card I made suitable for the the big and little men in your life!  Last weekend, I was at a youth football game and saw a little boy wearing a shirt similar to this one.

I am not sure that I have ever called anyone a "stud muffin," but I think it's an adorable term of endearment.  I pulled out Sketchy Cupcakes and thought about how I could turn the muffin into a "stud muffin."

I made a card base from kraft cardstock and trimmed a panel of patterned paper and adhered it to the front. Next, I die cut a stitched rectangle from white cardstock.  I also die cut the word "stud" using some alphabet dies on black cardstock.

I stamped the muffin top and wrapper onto cardstock and trimmed them out.  The stud part of the muffin was realized through the use of some bronze brad that have been in my embellishment stash forever.

I adhered the die cut letters and the studded muffin to the white rectangle and stamped "hello" from Just Hello to the card.

This weekend, this card will be making it's way to Grayson Savery.  You may have seen Danielle's post a few weeks back that she has reopened the Happy Mail for Grayson campaign.  You can read all about it here, and more about Grayson here.

I hope that it brings a smile!  Have a great weekend friends!  Thanks for stopping by!

Plaid Holiday Tree

Jean here sharing a CAS card for the holidays. Plaid stamping has been trending, and there have been some terrific examples posted right here on the Neat & Tangled blog, including this tutorial from Design Team member Pamela Ho. I decided to give plaid stamping a try with a CAS holiday card using stamps from the September Neat & Tangled release -- the short border strip from the Santa’s Tags stamp set and a sentiment from Just for You.

Christmas Tree Plaid

I tried several combinations of inks and colors. The card shows one of my favorite combinations -- green dye ink with Encore’s silver pigment ink. I used a Fiskars stamp press so that I could easily keep my lines straight. After stamping the crisscrossed lines, I cut out the tree with a die. You’ll notice that these lines are not stamped at ninety degrees, so perhaps this isn’t technically “plaid.” I wanted the lines to both fill in the shape of the tree and look like garland going around the tree.

I adhered the die-cut tree to a panel stamped with “Celebrate” and added a die-cut silver star.

For a variation on the theme: There’s a short border strip in the Just for You set, which is a titch skinnier, that would be fun to combine with the thicker strip I used.

Celebrate Birthday Balloons

Good morning! Heather here to share a fun birthday card using the newly released Just for You stamp set:

LOVE the look of these darling balloons layered together! I used 3 different colors of shadow ink - they blend and overlap so fun!

Layered with some American Crafts pattern paper, and a bit of washi tape to hold it down. Super simple and fun!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a super day!

Thankful for Glitter

_DSC0003

Hi everyone! It's Suzanne here today with another glitter card - I hope you don't mind! This time I used a fall color scheme in American Crafts glitter tape, and the sentiment from Thankful Turkey. I cut the tape into the shape of a very long parallelogram, making the flat bottom edge run parallel to the top of the sentiment and dotted line...LOVE how this turned out. You get a lot of bang for your buck using some glitter and a great sentiment...can't wait to pop this one in the mail!

Have a great day!

Celebrate Banner Card

Hello everyone! Nina here again to share a simple card created using some new stamp sets from Neat and Tangled latest release.

 nina-yang-celebrate-card

First, I used the curved line stamp from Merry and Bright to create a few masks from thin printer paper.

I stamped the round ornament stamp (also from Merry and Bright) multiple times along the curved masks to create the banners.

Then I ran a thin layer of liquid glue along the lines to adhere the twine.

And some sequins to finish it up! Sentiment is from Just For You.

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you are inspired to use masks in your next project. Happy Crafting!
