XOXO + Inlinkz!

Hi friends, Danielle here! HAPPY FRIDAY!!! We made it! Haha!

I have a quick card to share and some fun news! I made this one for my husband for Valentine's Day and I love how it turned out. Much like Yana, I have really fallen in love with watercoloring - what a fantastic way to get really unique and personalized looks for projects. Just for the record, THESE are my absolute favorite paints to watercolor with - excellent quality, really vibrant colors!

So to make it I just cut a piece of watercolor paper, did some painting, then layered some pieces of vellum and white card stock and added stitching. I colored some wood veneer hearts with Copics and adhered them on top of my layers. Lastly, I stamped the XOXO from My Heart Sings and called it a day!
xoxo

And now for some really awesome news that will help make your life a little easier when blogging!

You Make My Heart Stop Card

Hello everyone! This is Yana sharing another video tutorial with you.

Lately I've been absolutely obsessed with the watercolour and I've been experimenting with different supplies and techniques to create a watercolour look. Today I'd like to share a quick video tutorial with you to show my way of doing a watercolour background.

I'm also showing a fun way to combine sentiment stamps from multiple sets to create one unique message.

To create the sentiment for this card I used stamps from the following sets:
I encourage you to try this tecnique with your stamps and see what you can come up with.
Thanks!

You are awesome.

I am really enjoying using stripes lately.  Trendy?  yes.   Fun?  yes.  I've been seeing stripe patterns everywhere that I can't wait to try out.  I believe I saw this pattern a while back on a decorative pillow so I thought I'd give it a try using On the Strip 2 from Neat & Tangled.

I started by randomly stamping the first stripe and used that as my building block for the pattern.  I found that if you get the stripe stamp perfectly straight on your block (I use a Martha Stewart footed block) then stamping these stripes is a breeze!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  xx

Sequin Balloons

Hello! Chari here today with another sequin card.   This time I used the balloons in the Just For You set as my inspiration.  I wanted to make another card with a sequin panel behind cut out images and I thought it would be fun to do the balloon and make each of them a different color of sequins.

CelebrateBalloons

I stamped the balloons in Versafine Black Onyx ink and used my craft knife to cut out the inside of each balloon.  I then marked the openings on a scrap piece of card stock and used that as I guide where to adhere my sequins down.  I used Summer Sun, Perfectly Purple and Summer Sky satin sequins. The front panel is popped up with foam adhesive to stand away from the sequins a bit.  I stamped out the sentiment and fussy cut it out and popped it up over the balloon strings.  I wanted to keep the card very neutral so the balloons would pop.  Well not literally of course. :) I think this is a card that could be used for anyone just change the colors to fit the appropriate recipient.

Have a great day!

Birthday Card!

Hi Everyone!

Kristen here. I'm so excited for today. It's my first official post on the Neat and Tangled Blog! I'm super excited. Let's jump into it. If you've ever seen any of my other work, you may have noticed that I am mostly a CAS kind of girl. I love one layer cards (a few dimensionals here and there), a lot of white space and a very simple design. That's exactly what I brought to you today.

For the stamp set, I used Just For You.  It's a great birthday set that is very versatile.

To start out the card, I took three different inks and randomly stamped it to make it look like confetti was falling. I tapered it to thin out towards the bottom. For the sentiment, I stamped it on a piece of coordinating cardstock with versamark, heat set it and cut banner edges. To finish off the card, I popped the sentiment up on foam dots and rounded the corners.

It's a very easy card to produce and you're able to change the colors out to make it for any gender.

I hope you enjoyed the card! Make sure to visit the blog the rest of the week. Some of the girls from the design team have some fabulous projects to share with you!! :)

Happy Sunday!

 Hi everyone,

it's Christine on this lovely sunday! (Spring shows here in Germany - I love it!). My weekends are always crafty, so I have two cards to share with you:

For the first card I created a nice, bold watercolor-background. I put some distress inks onto my crafty sheet (I used worn lipstick and mustard seed - they work so cool together, for sure one of my favorite combos for watercolor techniques), added some water with my mister and put white cardstock on it. I never use watercolor-paper, but it still works. After it dries I put it underneath a heavy box to flatten out.
Then I used the gorgeous, brand new Diamonds stamp and white embossed it onto that bright background. I also added some shadows to the diamonds for even more dimension. The sentiment is a mix-and match of different stamps from On the corner additions. That's it - so easy, yet eyecatching!

The second card is all about nautical. I have a few paper pads with nautical papers. I picked this one because it matched a few of my DYI enamel dots very well and I badly wanted to use them. I rounded some corners and stitching lines to add some more interest to this very simple card. Hope Anchors is such an amazing combo of sentiment and image.

Many hearts and an Anchor.

Hi everyone, it's Christine.
I still can't believe I am a part of this awesome, talented team, but yes: this is my first post for you - woohoo!

Well, it's a short one:
I just found out I love to create backgrounds by stamping solid images. It's so much fun to pick colors and try out how well they match. For this card I used the circle with heart from kindness matters and stamped it in yellow, coral and light blue. What a nice combo I never thought of before!
I embossed the New Hope Anchors stamp with coral embossing powder on vellum and layered that onto the patterned paper.
Here's the card:
Hope you have a nice day!
