Stenciling with Perfect Pearls

Hello there!

Mayuri here to share a card using the gorgeous Hexastar Stencil from the May Release!

I love the geometric design of this stencil and can see myself reaching for it again and again to create awesome backgrounds! This card took no time at all to put together - I began by laying the stencil down onto some dark coloured cardstock and stamping all over with the Versamark Ink pad.

I lifted the stencil away and brushed some gold Perfect Pearls over the sticky areas - I didn't mind the unevenness of my stamping (near the edges), as it give the overall look a sense of depth.

I gently wiped any excess Perfect Pearls with a dryer sheet and trimmed the panel down to slightly smaller than my card base. Before foam mounting the panel, I swiped the Versamark Ink pad along all four edges of the card base, and again brush with the Perfect Pearls. This gave me a nice matching border...

I wanted to keep the sentiment simple so that the focal panel could really be the star of this card, so I stamped one from the Origami Map set onto a strip of the same dark cardstock with Versamark, sprinkled with gold embossing powder and heat set. I trimmed the sentiment piece down and foam mounted it to the card front.

To finish, I added a selection of Summer Sun and Gold Mix sequins.

Happy Birthday Donuts

Hello and Happy Monday!  Haven't you all been enjoying the May Release?!  So many FUN new products!  I would be the first one to tell you that many aspects of 'the circus' scare me...clowns?  Oh my, I'd still hide from them but I have to tell you that the new Big Top Birthday is ABsolutely cuteness overload.

What's not to love about a cutie pie clown with a donut balloon?! That certainly puts a smile on my face.  I've teamed up Big Top Birthday with Say Yes to Donuts!

With a smidge of masking, I was able to incorporate a trio of friends to wish a special person Happy Birthday wishes!

I've definitely been into freestyle watercoloring...non-precise and fun.  I popped up the sentiment for a bit of interest by using the Big Top Birthday Nice and Neat dies.

This card accompanied by say, a dozen donuts, would make any Birthday Girl/Boy happy!

Thanks so much for stoppin' by!

Wood You Be Mine? Guest Designer Melania Deasy

Hi everyone! It's Deasy here. This is my last post as Neat and Tangled Guest Designer. Thank you so much for the invitation. I have so much fun playing with Neat and Tangled products! For my last card, I make romantic night scene using Lumberjack Love stamp sets.

I stamp the images using Memento Tuxedo Black and the trees using Memento Desert Sand then color them all using Copic. The sentiment is from white embossing powder.

I die cut the hills on green card stock. To make the background, first I mask the moon with circle die cut then color it using Dye Ink with blending tool. I start with light color first then add darker color. I die cut stars on white glitter card stock and add white pen gel on the background. To make some of the white pen gel glow, I add white pastel pencil.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoy my creations!!

Easy formula for a fun cards with Puncinella die by Sveta Fotinia

Hello, everyone!

Sveta is here and I want to share with you easy formula for a quick and fun cards! Coffee lovers will be especially like today's post :)
I created two similar cards and it took appx. 20 min. Puncinella Nice and Neat die is perfect for  backgrounds, I'd say it's a must have die!
I've made to die cuts from a different colors of Bazzil cardstock using Puncinella Nice and Neat die and then used coordinating dies of my main images on this die cut. So I got background die cut with a hole in shape of the image.
For my first card I used our newest Big Bold Brew stamp set and Big Bold Brew Nice and Neat die. For the accents I chose little coffee beans from Perfect Blend stamp set.

The same set I used for my second card's main image along with Perfect Blend Nice and Neat dies. This time my sentiment went under the punchinella background. You can try to change location of sentiments, accents or image, colors and shape, just keep all ingredients in the same proportion and you will get your own easy formula!
Take a time, brew a cup of coffee and enjoy today's post!

Big Top Birthday Celebration Card by Taheerah

Hey everyone, happy Wednesday! It's Taheerah here today to share a super cute card that you'll just love!

Big Top Birthday is definitely one of the cutest sets out there! I don't know how Elena manages to keep topping her previous cute offerings but somehow she does!

I didn't get a chance to play with this set during release week so I took the first available opportunity I had to ink it up! Here's what I came up with:

Gah, so cute!! I love how so many of the images in this set work together to create little scenes! Here I used the oh-so-talented lion with his balancing act! I coloured all my images with Copics, adding a line of Multi Matte Medium on the cake stand and coating it with silver sparkly embossing powder, so that when it was heated it created a 3D effect!

I impressed my card panel with the Stitched Sunburst dies and blended some Distress Ink around it. I spritzed the panel with Glimmer Mist for some subtle sparkle.

The images are all adhered with Pinflair Glue Gel for some dimension, with a second, silvery sparkly embossed banner under the top banner. Some sequins and stars finished this fun card and I just love the end result!

I hope you loved this card as much as I loved creating them! And I do hope you'll add Scandinavian Prints to your collection if you haven't already - you won't regret it! Thanks for stopping by!

Watercolor Birthday Scene + Die Cuts

Hello there everyone! It's Nina-Marie here with you today and I have a card to share with you that features some of my favorite Neat & Tangled stamps and one of the newest Neat & Tangled dies!

I needed to create a card for my dad for his birthday and by using the letters from the new Journaling Alphas die set, I was able to customize the sentiment to give the card some personality. This is a great way to make your cards more special... I know I would love to get a card with my name designed onto the front!

This card was created with distress inks; I love to watercolor! One of my favorite watercoloring techniques is loose, artistic coloring... freestyle is what I like to call it!

I find it very relaxing to watercolor this way because I try to allow myself to let go of the perfectionism inside me and just let the water do its thing. Not think hard about it. Its much easier said then done of course for those of us who like more control over their coloring, but those kinds of challenges are always good for us!

So make sure you check out the video below to see how I created this card! And if you enjoy, please give the video a big thumbs up and subscribe to our YouTube channel! We post new videos frequently featuring fun ways to use our stamps and dies!
